Privacy policy
Last updated 4 September 2026. This policy is written for a small Australian business. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
Data for Locals operates this website at dataforlocals.com and can be contacted at contact@dataforlocals.com. The website form is the preferred way to request the free audit. We do not publish a street address on this site.
What we collect
If you use the audit form, we receive the details you type: name, business name, website (if provided), email, phone (if provided), city/state, what you would like help with, and your consent to use those details to reply. We do not ask for website passwords.
The Digital Score self-check runs in your browser only. Those answers are not sent to us and are not stored by this website.
Why we collect it
To reply to your audit request, decide whether Digital Rescue is a fit, and deliver work you have asked for. We do not sell enquiry lists.
Where it goes
This website is a static brochure site with a PHP form endpoint. Audit form submissions are emailed to contact@dataforlocals.com from the Hostinger server. You can also write to that address directly.
If you pay for Digital Rescue, Stripe processes the payment on its own checkout page. We do not collect or store card details on this website.
Hosting may be provided by Hostinger or another web host. Email is sent over authenticated SMTP.
Analytics
This version of the site does not include an analytics script. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated and the script will be named.
Retention and your rights
We intend to keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months unless we still need them to complete work you requested or to meet a legal obligation. You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing contact@dataforlocals.com. The Australian Privacy Principles may apply depending on our circumstances.
Children
This service is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
